What causes cancer?
In simplistic terms, cancer is a disease of uncontrolled cell proliferation occurring at the wrong place at the wrong time, caused by oncogenic signals. To counter abnormal cell proliferation, a cell can either enter a growth arrest phase, undergo apoptosis (programmed cell death: a process to eliminate dysfunctional cells), or senesce. Cancer is one of the scenarios where too little apoptosis occurs, resulting in malignant cells that will not die.In some, the problem is due to too much apoptosis, such as in the case of degenerative diseases while in others, too little apoptosis is the culprit.
Cancer a Macrobiotic view – Macrobiotic approach does not view cancer as terminal, but more of a ‘discharge’ perhaps the body’s biggest discharge. Sound like a simplistic view point, but that’s just it. The body has the ability to also fight back and heal itself.

Plus bring in food-elements to clean up your gut to help you detoxify. She then layers this with the use of holistic natural everyday foods; using her knowledge of balancing the ‘foods’ and ‘cooking styles’ used to give you the required strength to overcome your cancer and encourage balance. Nourishing the body, if one is going through chemotherapy or radiation and conventional medicine treatments with her broths, soups, and other remedies that help one keep it under remission and fight the onslaught of chemotherapy and radiation.
