When the cells in your body don’t respond to insulin in a normal way, it is termed as insulin resistance. It will eventually take you to diabetes if not bought under control. Typically symptoms include weight gain, fat around the belly, lethargy, low immunity, hunger pangs, difficulty concentrating and sometimes-high cholesterol.
What causes insulin resistance?
Shonali’s experience on an insulin resistance is caused by a diet high on simple carbohydrates and erratic eating patterns; excess weight, infections, prolonged illness, over-use of steroids, elevated cholesterol/triglycerides, could be some the causes as well.
